Aletha Alcala Colvett

Aletha Alcala Colvett passed away on the morning of Tuesday, November 5th, 2019 at the age of 64 in Littleton, Colorado after suffering complications from two strokes in April earlier this year. She was born in Mandaluyong City nearby Manila, Philippines to Victorianna Dorneo Alcala and Estanislao “Islao” Alcala on April 4th, 1955, the youngest of five children. Her siblings were Antoinetta Canlas, Heneroso Alcala, Pancho Alcala, and Felimon Alcala. She graduated from the Polytechnic University of the Philippines with a Bachelor’s in Business, and later from Regis University with a Master’s in Marketing. She had many wonderful and close friends and family in the Philippines. Aleth came to California in the spring of 1983 where she met Steven James Colvett whom she married on September 24th, 1983, and gave birth to her first child, Maria Rebecca Colvett born on November 20th, 1984. In 1990, they moved to Colorado where they had two more children, Samuel Steven Colvett born on May 1st, 1992 and Nicole Danielle Colvett born on April 25th, 1993. She worked as an Executive Assistant at Jacobs Engineering for 22 years, where she touched many lives and made lasting close friendships. She is survived by her three children and brother Felimon. Aleth was known for her vibrant personality as she loved to have fun, dance and sing, laugh and smile. She will be very much missed.
