Barbara Boesen

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Barbara Jean (Bawek) Boesen of Highlands Ranch, CO. Barbara was born in Manchester, IA on October 20, 1943, to Eugene and Alma (Reuter) Bawek. She entered into eternal rest on December 10, 2024, in Denver, CO.

 She was preceded in death by her devoted husband of 44 years, Ronald; her parents; two brothers, Jeff and Tom; and a granddaughter, Kathryn Elizabeth Minter.

Barbara is survived by her four children Jon Boesen (Kelly) of Parker, CO; Betsy Minter (Jeff) of Overland Park, KS; Ben Boesen (Cindy) of Wichita, KS; and Sharon Thomas (Justin) of Denver, CO. She leaves behind thirteen grandchildren – Grant Boesen (Kalyn), Brian Boesen, Bryndon Minter, Adam Boesen (Hannah), Amy Boesen VanAllen (Jake), Cameron Minter, Jared Boesen,Lindsey Boesen, Caroline Boesen, Ethan Minter, Nathan Boesen, Jay Thomas, and Alexander Thomas; Great-grandchildren – Juniper and Callen Boesen; her siblings, Judy McIlrath, Steve Bawek, Jerry Bawek (Janel), Lori Donnelly (Mike), Jane Wald (Scott), Kelly Bawek (Chris), Mary Lyons (Brian) and Rita Hadjiane (Tom). 

Barbara has a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends that will miss her greatly.In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Women’s Resource Center, 706 W. 8 th St.,Gillette, WY 82718, a favorite organization for which Barb volunteered and supported for many years. 

Services are under the direction of Heflebower Funeral & Cremation Services. Private graveside service at Littleton Cemetery, 1:00 p.m., Monday, 12/23/2024. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date in the Spring.
