Benjamin E. Price, age 41, passed peacefully in his sleep on November 25, 2022, in Highlands Ranch, CO. Ben was born on March 20, 1981, to Keith and Vicki Price. Ben graduated in 1999 from Columbine High School in Littleton, CO, and attended the University of Colorado at Boulder, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication in 2004. After graduation, Ben built a career as a senior technical recruiter working for several multinational corporations. In 2008, Ben married Jordan Dyan Mauch and in 2010, Ben and Jordan welcomed a little girl, Elliott. By far, Ben’s best role in life was being Ellie’s dad. The two were inseparable and Elliott was the light of Ben’s life. Ben was an ever-present figure on the sidelines of Ellie’s volleyball games, cheering her on as the proud dad he was of her athleticism and the passion for sports they both shared. Ellie was also a gifted actress/singer participating in local stage productions like her dad when he was a boy.
During high school, Ben served as the co-captain of the ‘99 Columbine Rebels basketball team. As he grew older, Ben became a walking encyclopedia for all things sports. Ben’s enthusiasm spiked every Spring during the collegiate “March Madness” basketball tournament and filling out his “bracket " was an annual ritual. In addition to Ben’s love of basketball, Ben was a loyal and lifelong fan of the CU Buffaloes, Denver Nuggets, and the Denver Broncos.
Ben is survived by his parents Keith and Vicki, his daughter Elliott; Jordan Price, Elliott’s mother; a special person in his life Cara St. John; uncle Craig Price and aunt Pat Van Orman Price; Dana Fink and aunt Marcia Fink; and cousins Ava Price and Michelle Koefod. As well as countless friends, both near and far.
In honor of Ben’s penchant for sports, and in his memory, a monetary donation can be made to the YMCA where Ben spent his youth. The YMCA supports children who may not have the means to participate in organized sports, which is something Ben was passionate about.
