Beverly Ruth Denning

Beverly Ruth Denning passed away peacefully on 3/24/23 with her children by her side. She was born in Omaha, NE on November 3, 1930 to Frances and Roscoe (Bud) Dunlap. She graduated from Central High School and soon after visited friends in Englewood, CO where she was introduced to her husband to be, Don Denning. They were married on July 24, 1949, bought a small house in Littleton, CO and started their family of three--Steven, Angela, and Clifford.

They moved the family to a larger house in Littleton in 1958 where she lived for more than 60 years. During that time Bev was a Cub Scout Den Mother and later worked as a secretary for an insurance agent and at Arapahoe High School. After the kids were grown, she and Don made many friends square dancing and started to travel. They visited all 50 states in their travels as well as two trips to England to visit her long time pen pal. She also volunteered at Craig Hospital and Littleton Hospital for several years.

Bev loved to sew and do crafts. She completed numerous cross-stitch projects which are now prized by her children and grandchildren. She also loved to play games with her husband and family and was especially fond of a good game of Scrabble, Cribbage, and other card games. She also loved wise sayings, unique colloquialisms and especially, word origins.

Bev was preceded in death by her husband, Donald, her parents, Frances and Bud, her sister, Barbara, and her two favorite dogs-Heidi, and Gretel. She is survived by her children, Steve (Julie) Denning, Angela Hoegee, Clifford (Deb) Denning, 5 grandchildren, 8 great granddaughters, as well as nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday 4/22/2023 at 3:00. The service will be held at Littleton United Methodist Church, 5894 S. Datura St, Littleton, CO 80120. All are welcome.
