Beverly R. Jensen

Beverly Rae (Peterson) Jensen, 78 of Castle Rock, Colorado passed away Monday November 2, 2015 at Lifecare of Stonegate in Parker, Colorado.
Bev was born March 30, 1937 in Council Bluffs, Iowa to Albert and Gertrude (Bonnes) Peterson. She was baptized May 16, 1937 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Neola, Iowa. Bev attended schools in Underwood, Iowa and worked for Mutual of Omaha for one year after graduation from High School. She attended Dana College in Blair, Nebraska from 1956-58 and received her 2 year teaching certificate and sang in the Dana College Touring Choirs. She taught Kindergarten for three years in Rake, Iowa and then taught first grade for a year in Hancock, Iowa.
Bev met Milton E. Jensen at Dana College and they were married on August 16, 1958.
Bev is survived by her husband Milt, three sons; David (Amy) of Parker, Colorado, Mark (Karla) of Beaver Dam, Wisconsin and John of South Burlington, Vermont. Six Grandchildren; Amanda, Cole, Dane, Micah, Isaac and Kamilla. Her brother; Jim Peterson of Underwood, Iowa. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Daniel and step mother Gwen.
Her church, her family and her music were important in her life. She touched and shaped many lives through her teaching and day care. She was loved by all and she loved and cared for all who knew her. Let us celebrate her life together.
Memorials are suggested to be made to God's Grace Community Church and will be divided up to support Mission Projects through God's Grace, First Lutheran of Beaver Dam, WI and another to be determined at a later date.
