Brenda Sue Lawson, age 56, of Aurora, CO, went to be with her Lord on March 11, 2025. She was born on March 21, 1968, in Phoenix, AZ, to Arnold Dale and Jeanene Phyllis Gibson Lawson.

Brenda graduated from New Mexico State University in 1991 and went on to enjoy a successful career as a Hospitality Management Professional for many years. Her career allowed her to make many friends, travel and create lasting connections with those around her.

Brenda was deeply passionate about her faith in God. and she spent many years involved in Koinonia, where she both organized and participated in retreats for 16 years. She touched many lives through her involvement with the organization, offering love, support, and fellowship to all she met.

A proud traveler, Brenda accomplished the remarkable feat of visiting all 50 states, creating a lifetime of cherished memories along the way. She also enjoyed dancing whenever she had the opportunity.

Brenda is survived by her father, Arnold Dale Lawson of Albuquerque, NM; her sister, Sheryl Lawson of Albuquerque, NM; her brother, Terry Lawson of Plano, TX; as well as five nieces and nephews and six great-nieces and nephews.

She will be missed by all who knew her and remembered for her kindness, her dedication to family and friends, and her strong faith.

A celebration of Brenda's life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Compassion International, https://www.compassion.com/sponsor_a_child/or Selah Creek Maternity Home, https://selahcreek.org/ or a charity of your choice in her memory.
