Carol Christine Hendrick

Carol Christine Hendrick, 74, of Highlands Ranch, Colorado, peacefully passed away in her home on August 14, 2020 with her family by her side.

Christy is survived by her loving husband of 51 years, John, her children, Greg Hendrick (wife Meghan Hendrick), Emily Fullenkamp (husband Larry Fullenkamp), and Mindy Hendrick, and her sweet grandchildren.

Christy was born December 5, 1946 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and grew up north of Chicago, Illinois. While completing her bachelor degree at the University of Illinois, John and Christy fell in love. They moved to Colorado and Christy received her Master’s degree in social work at Denver University. A job opportunity led John and Christy to Pasadena, CA, where their son Greg was born. After four years in California, they moved to Colorado to reside permanently. John and Christy were blessed with two more children, Emily and Mindy. Before Christy retired, she was the director of Brookdale Assisted Living Senior Care.

Christy enjoyed many adventures with friends and family. She spent many weekends hiking, kayaking, and relaxing at their family cabin in Grand Lake, CO. She also traveled to several places such as Alaska, Germany, France, Spain, Columbia, Australia, and New Zealand. Along with traveling, Christy enjoyed her book clubs, wine club, bible study, and tennis. Christy was an intelligent, warm-hearted, faithful and devoted mother, wife, and friend who will be greatly missed by all.
