Catherine A. Hubin

Catherine A. Hubin (Cathy), age 67, passed away on Saturday, March 4, 2023, at UCHealth Hospital in Highlands Ranch, CO. She was born in Rantoul, Illinois preceded in death by her parents J. Walter Hubin Sr. and Flora (Lemay) Hubin. She was raised in Lowell, MA, and lived most of her adult life in Colorado. Cathy graduated from Lowell High School (LHS) in 1973 where she was sometimes better known as “Hubie”. She proudly served as an LHS Girl Officer like her sister and mother before her. She had a passion for singing, dancing, and acting and was active in the high school's drama club earning the “Best Actress in a Singing Role” award in 1973.

She furthered her education by earning a degree in the information technology field. She was dedicated to her work as a Software Engineer until her retirement. Cathy had an infectious laugh and a caring heart. She enjoyed the outdoors; skiing, hiking, and watching the wildlife, including bears strolling through her front yard. Cathy was a multi-talented handywoman and could update or fix anything inside or outside her home.

She was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister; John W. Hubin Jr., Thomas Hubin, and Martha Currier. She is survived by two brothers, Michael Hubin and his wife Mary of FL, and Brian Hubin of FL, and two sisters Margaret, and her husband Victor of TN and Patricia Andrades of Lowell as well as several nieces and nephews.

Cathy’s cremains were spread on the mountains at Sapphire Point Overlook in Summit County, Colorado.
