Connie was born in Greeley, Colorado, the youngest of three children of Donald and Pat McCloskey.

Connie resided in Greeley her entire formative years excelling at athletics and academics. She was active in softball, track and basketball during her high school years earning the distinction of most valuable senior athlete. She then went on to attend the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley earning her bachelor’s degree in Information Systems in three years.

Upon graduation she accepted a job in Ponca City, Oklahoma with Conoco’s Computer and Technology Services Department. In Ponca City is where she met her husband Brad who also worked at Conoco. They resided in Ponca City until 1990 when they relocated to Houston, Texas. Their only child Jonathan was born in Houston in 1993. They resided in Houston until 1997 when they moved back to Englewood, Colorado where they resided until her death.

Connie had a long and successful professional career working for Conoco, Computer Sciences Corporation and Schlumberger. She retired from Schlumberger in 2015 as a database administrator.

In 2007 Connie was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease at the age of 47. She was diagnosed early in the disease progression and was able to remain active the majority of her life while battling the disease.

Connie loved to travel and visited locations around the world. Hawaii was one of her favorite places, she loved watching the whales migrating in February. She also had a passion for sewing and quilting. She loved baking Christmas cookies, watching quiz shows, and solving puzzles. Growing up on a small family farm gave her a love for animals and the outdoors that carried on through her entire life. She played competitive softball leagues for several years after graduating from college. Most of all she was an incredible mother and wife, spending time with her family was her greatest joy. She was strong willed and steadfast throughout her life. She was always ready to listen and did everything with love. She also has a great sense of humor, her smile and laugh will be missed by all.

Connie is survived by her husband, Brad, of 34 years her son Jonathan, mother Pat and siblings Ed and Sharon. She is preceded in death by her father Donald.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting the funds be donated to the Parkinson Association of the Rockies (PAR) to support their incredible work.
