Cristobalina Garay Harvey, age 75, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 20, 2024, in Englewood CO. She was born in the Guaymi (Ngobe-Bugle) tribe on October 12, 1948, in Chiriqui Panama, and adopted by Enrique Archibold and Delmira Melva Hecker De Archibold.
Christina grew up in Chiriqui, Colon, and Panama City where she then met Michael Harvey who was stationed at the Ft. Gulick US Army base in the Panama Canal Zone. The two married in 1970 and moved to the United States in 1971.
Christina spent most of her life in Colorado and loved to travel. She was able to visit Florida, Hawaii, Indiana, Nevada, Texas, and Washington, and even was able to visit her homeland Panama.
Christina has a large loving family as she is survived by her 4 children: Vielka Wilson, Sandi Harvey, Greg Harvey, and Geoff Harvey; her 12 grandchildren: Deekota Archibold, Chance Wilson, James Archuleta, Brieanna Harvey, Marliena Salas, Olivia Harvey, Jasymn Harvey, Brayden Harvey, Tyce Harvey, Noah Harvey, Frankie Harvey, and Sierra Harvey; and her 5 great-grandchildren: La’Niyah Wilson, Neveah Smith, Kaylee Smith, Leyah Dowling, and Phoibe Cox; and her siblings who still live in Panama, her brother Chino and sister Marixa.
Christina was preceded in death by her parents, Enrique and Delmira; her ex-husband, Mike; her granddaughter, Cassandra; and her 4 little companions, Spike, Coco, Precious (the 3-legged dog), and Missy.
Christina’s family will be holding a Celebration of Life Service on Friday, February 9th from 10am-12pm at Mountainview Christian Church, 40 East Highlands Ranch Parkway Highlands Ranch, CO. 80126
