David J. Stinson M.D., 87, Highlands Ranch, CO
David J. Stinson M.D., ”Dave”, born on Dec 23, 1930, passed away on Tuesday, Aug 28, 2018 at Porter Hospice at the Johnson Center, Centennial CO.
He graduated from the University of Michigan undergraduate and medical school and completed his residency in psychiatry at Ypsilanti State Hospital, Ypsilanti, Michigan. In 1966, he and his wife, Jane Freel Stinson, moved their family to Rockford, where he began a 43 year career as a practicing psychiatrist. Their 3 children, Leslie, John and Abby attended local area schools, all graduating from Guilford High School. After 54 years of marriage, Jane passed away on June 7, 2009.
Dave relocated to Centennial Co in 2008, and married Cathy Kiepke in 2012. They resided in Highlands Ranch, CO and Wellington, FL and spent as much time as possible in Eagle Vail, CO.
Survivors include his wife, Cathy; children Leslie (Jay) Rusek, John (Vicky) Stinson, Abby (Tim) Barnett; grandchildren Natasha, Max and Lena Rusek, Sophia Barnett and great- grandson, Cameron Steward.
A memorial will be held on September 28, 2018 at the Cherry Hills Community Church, Highlands Ranch, CO.
