Ronald David Kindelsperger died at his home, Vi at Highlands Ranch, on September 30, 2024. He was 90 years old. Ron lived a very active life until his recent battle with a serious illness.
Ron, son of the late Raymond George Kindelsperger and Helen Voss Kindelsperger, was born in Chicago, Illinois on January 20, 1934. He attended The Christian Day School of Grace Lutheran Church, River Forest, Illinois from 1938 until his 8th grade graduation in 1947. It was at Grace Lutheran that many of the happy occasions of his early life took place. He also enjoyed many wonderful days with his family at Browns Lake in Burlington, Wisconsin.
Ron met his beautiful future wife, Barbara Ann Huxhold, in their sophomore year of high school. “Barb” was also a member of Grace Lutheran Church. It was at Grace that they were married on September 11, 1954, after Ron graduated from Knox College in Galesburg, Illinois.
Ron graduated from the University of Illinois College of Dentistry in 1957. After brief service in the U.S. Air Force, Ron returned to the University of Illinois and graduated with a Master of Science degree. Ron began his practice of Pediatric Dentistry in 1960 in Elmhurst, Illinois, where he and Barb raised their three daughters.
Ron loved traveling and sports and shared these activities with his family. Together they enjoyed skiing, ice skating, bicycling, golfing, tennis, and water skiing. Ron was active in his church, was president of his congregation, and loved singing in the choir.
Upon retiring from his dental practice in 1996, Ron and Barb moved to Evergreen, Colorado where they had honeymooned 42 years earlier, promising each other that they would return to live there one day. They cherished their mountain life together and took in many days hiking, bicycling and skiing. Ron was an active member of Evergreen Lutheran Church.
Ron moved to Vi at Highlands Ranch in 2010. Throughout Ron’s life, wherever he lived, he enjoyed people and shared a wonderful sense of humor with all. He listened to music every day and loved to do jigsaw puzzles. Joy was an integral part of Ron’s life. His favorite saying was “Go For It!”
Ron is survived by his children, Karen (Robert) Hiden, Lauren (Bill) Noon, his son-in-law Harry Brelsford, his grandchildren, Geoffrey (Natalie) Brelsford, and Harry (Leah King) Brelsford.
