Eleanor Jo Thomas

Eleanor Jo Thomas, age 92, passed away peacefully on September 15, 2023 at Montage Ridge Assisted Living in Lakewood Colorado. Jo was born February 16, 1931 in Clara, Mississippi to Homer and Lena Mae (Glidewell) Fleming. She was a graduate of Laurel High School. Jo married John Halford, of Rose Hill, Mississippi, in September 1954. They had two daughters: Cynthia Ann and Sylvia Rebecca (Becky). John and Jo were divorced in 1971. Jo married Robert Thomas, of Scooba, Mississippi, in March 1976. They lived in Pascagoula and Gautier, Mississippi. Jo moved to Colorado in 2022.

Jo was preceded in death by her parents, Homer and Lena Mae, her husband Robert, who passed in 2004, her daughter Cindy, who passed in 2014, and her brother William, who passed in 2015. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Becky and Jerry Levesque of Castle Rock, Colorado; three grandsons, Christopher of Lakewood, Colorado, Stephen of Johnson City, Tennessee, and Eric of Castle Rock, Colorado; and three great-grandchildren, Layla, Madison, and Gavin.

Her remains will be returned to Gautier at a future date where she will be laid to rest beside her husband Robert at Pinecrest Cemetery. Memorial donations in Jo’s name should be made in the form of a service or other remembrance at place of worship.
