Elliot Wilson

Elliot James Marshall Wilson, age 23, of Littleton, CO, passed away tragically on Sunday, February 23, 2025. He was born March 29, 2001 in San Diego, CA, along with his twin sister, Grace, and was the loving and beloved son of Jeanine (Heinemann) and Dean Wilson.

Survivors include his parents, Dean and Jeanine Wilson of Littleton, CO; sister, Grace Wilson of Oviedo, FL; grandparents James and Lana Wilson of Colorado Springs, CO; grandparents Les and Linda A. Heinemann of Florissant, CO; aunt and uncle Kristen and Robin Wolf of Arvada, CO; uncle Jeffrey Heinemann of Littleton, CO, and cousins Karly, Jalen, and Landen Wolf of Arvada, CO. He was preceded in death by his grandmother Linda J. (Crawford) Heinemann of Colorado Springs, CO.

After early childhood in San Diego, Elliot grew up in Bedford, MA, graduating from Bedford High School in 2019 before he and his parents moved to Colorado. He was a diligent and hard-working employee of FedEx at the time of his death, up before the sun each day to help deliver “The World on Time.”

Elliot was a caring, gentle, loving, selfless, honest, and upstanding young man, always steering clear of self-indulgences, vices, and unhealthy habits. He was a baptized, confirmed, and faithful Lutheran, and was raised to know and always trust in Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. His humble and exemplary character was remarkable to all who knew him, and he was never one to waste a dollar, a leftover, or an opportunity to drop an unexpected, but well-timed sarcastic comment into a conversation - always to the joy of those around him. He was a man of few words, but those he chose always counted and always spoke volumes. He will be sorely missed by his loving family for the joy he brought to all of them, and the promising life of honesty, faith, and family that he was working so hard to build.

A poignant story illustrates his selflessness and integrity. After receiving a long-delayed and unexpected final paycheck from a previous employer, his parents strongly encouraged him to do something entirely out of character: splurge…blow it on himself…do something fun and wildly self-indulgent. He had certainly earned it - maybe something crazy like a nice vacation or new toy, with no strings or guilt attached. Elliot said he would think carefully about it, then reported back days later that he had reached a decision. His parents were waiting with excitement (Whatever could he have chosen?!?) when he announced proudly that he wanted to use the money to pay the vet bill to get the old family dog’s teeth cleaned, an expense that the family had been wrangling to meet. His parents had tears in their eyes as they comprehended this great private hallmark of his character that he had shown. For those who knew and loved him, and those who maybe didn’t, rest assured forever that he loved you and would have served you far above himself and the family dog. We can all learn from his examples.

A memorial service will be held at a later date in Denver, CO, details to follow.
