Francesco “Frank” Peter Capobianco Jr. peacefully passed on June 12, 2018 at the age of 63 after a long battle with CML Leukemia and MS. He was born in Islip, Suffolk County, NY on May 8, 1955 .
He was predeceased by his parents Francesco (Frank) Peter Capobianco, Sr. and Virginia (Jean and Virgie) Capobianco (nee Kowalski), his brother Louis (Lou) Capobianco, and his first wife Maria Frances Capobianco (nee Scmitt).
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Peggy Ona Capobianco who were married on April 20, 2013, son Frank Peter Capobianco, III, his wife, Heather Dawn Capobianco (nee Moskowitz), and two grandchildren, Zane and Jett Capobianco, all of Colorado.
Frank is also survived by his cousin Carolyn Kowalski of Atlanta, GA, sister-in-law Margaret (Margie) Capobianco (nee Sauerbrey), nephew Anthony (Tony) Capobianco, his wife Joan Capobianco (nee Krajewski) of Cape Coral,Florida. Frank's niece Diane Rzeppa, husband Brian and their two children Brendan and Madison Rzeppa reside in East China, Michigan.
Frank enjoyed his career as a HVAC Project Manager/Estimator for RK Mechanical in Denver, Colorado. He was passionate about restoring his 64 GTO, enjoyed watching sci-fy movies, making models and cooking authentic Italian dishes for family and friends. He enjoyed working with model trains and creating elaborate displays, especially at Christmas time. He took special pride in son, Frank and grandsons, Zane and Jett; his legacy will live on through them. He will be greatly missed by family and friends, including those of the Scannavino and Kowalski families.
Frank resided in New York, Cape Coral, FL and Aurora and Loveland, CO. He graduated from Connetquot High School in Islip, NY in 1973. He was a member of the Northern Colorado GTO Club along with his wife, Peggy.
Cremation will be handled through Heflebower Funeral and Cremation Services of Highlands Ranch, CO.
A small, private memorial will be held for close family in Englewood, CO.
