Francis Takeo Uyeda

   Francis Takeo Uyeda from Littleton, Colorado passed on May 1, 2023. Francis was born on May 18,1933 in Honolulu, Hawaii. Preceded in death by his spouse, Marcia Ann who passed in December 2012, 5 months after moving from Hawaii.

     

Francis is survived by his daughter, Candace, son in law, Kip and granddaughter, Laura. He will be buried at Hawaii State Veterans Cemetery with Coast Guard Honors. Marcia will also be interned since only half of her ashes were scattered on the Koolau mountain. No Flowers accepted at gravesite. 

 

   Francis relocated to Colorado in 2012. He moved to assisted living (Manor on Marston Lake) on October 2021. He was with Denver Hospice since April 2022. He got COVID in October 2022 and was bedridden since then. He loved playing golf, listening to Frank Sinatra, going to Las Vegas and loved Hawaii. His final trip to Hawaii was in 2021 for his 88th birthday. He didn't want to leave Hawaii but during his later years required more assistance.
