Gerard (Jerry) Dwyer, at the age of 63, left this world in the early morning on May 1, 2024.(Englewood). He was born on April 7,1961 (Denver) to James and Joanne (Guerin) Dwyer and married Ann Marie (Dwyer) Dwyer on August 25, 1990. But the true loves of his life were their animals and his work.
A master electrician, and true gentleman with over 43 years sobriety, he had a very dry sense of humor and only did things his way and on his own timeline. Yet, he was always willing to help people and rooting for the underdogs. Jerry was respected and loved by mostly everyone he met and our heart lights are dimmed without him.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Jim and Joanne; his sister, Patty Jay; and several of his fur babies. He is survived by his wife, Annie; his brothers, Jim, Charlie (Nancy), Bob (Michelle), Lou (Tanya); his sisters, Bridget, Cass; many nieces and nephews; dogs, P. J., Alfie, Furby; and Lucille, his motorcycle.
Being the soft spoken, kind, loving, compassionate man Jerry was, in lieu of flowers, his wife asks that you spend the money on something that makes you happy and celebrates life. As we all know, it’s all too short!
A Celebration of Life for Jerry will be held on Sunday, June 16th, 2024 beginning at 7pm at Miners Alley Performing Arts Center, 1100 Miners Alley, Golden, Colorado 80401.
