Gordon H Howie

Gordon H Howie , age 80, passed away on Saturday, January 14, 2023 at 3:33pm at UC Health Highlands Ranch in the most beautiful and peaceful celebration of him. He was born June 24, 1942, in Vancouver, BC Canada to Hugh and Pearl Howie. Gordon was a 1967 Graduate of Boise College. He spent his entire career in various high level Insurance Company and Insurance Agency positions. He also honored us by serving his country in the Navy. Gordon married his wife Lizanne on December 16, 1995 at their home in Idaho Springs,Colorado- it was a beautiful Winter day celebrated in their backyard surrounded by friends and family.

Gordon lived life big- he iceskated Rockefeller Center, he caught a Marlin in Cabo San Lucas, he got a Hole in One at Rolling Hills Country Club and travelled the world with the love of his life and Mate- Liz.

Gordon was preceded in death by his parents, Hugh and Pearl Howie; his brother George Howie and George’s wife Pat; his sister Janice Winter; and his cousin and best friend in life Tom Telfer. He is survived by his wife Liz, and their dog Frida; his son Mark Howie and his wife Debb; his bonus daughter Nicole Gonzalez and her husband Marco Gonzalez; his bonus daughter Jessica Miller; his sister Lu Ann Howie; his sister Mary Dalene Howie; his brother in law Samuel Winter; 5 grandchildren-McKenzy Wisner, Adelyn Wisner, Zander Wisner, Isabelle Gonzalez and Brantley Gonzalez; many cousins, nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Gordon’s incredible life will be held later this year at Seven Stones – A Botanical Garden Cemetery in Littleton, Colorado. In lieu of donations, being the kind man Gordon was, he would like us to share a smile with a stranger or brighten someone’s day whenever you can. The world needs more love like the love Gordon shared with all of us.
