Harriet Suzanne Pierce

Harriet Suzanne Pierce, age 96, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 14, 2025, in Lone Tree, Colorado, with her devoted husband of 68 years, Lynn, by her side. Her radiant presence and sweet smile will be deeply missed by all who knew her, especially her beloved family.

Born on December 28, 1928, in Chicago, Illinois, to Harry and Suzanne Walton, Harriet grew up in a Christian home. She later met the love of her life, Lynn Pierce, and they married on May 5, 1956. Together, they built a beautiful life and raised three children—Janet, Laurie, and Scott. The family eventually settled in Colorado, where Harriet became an active member of her church and a leader in the Christian Women’s Club. Her unwavering faith and devotion to her family were the foundation of her life.

Harriet had an adventurous spirit and a passion for travel. Over the course of 40 years, she and Lynn explored all seven continents, creating cherished memories along the way. Her collection of dolls from around the world was a treasured feature of her home and a source of delight for her children and grandchildren.

Later in life, Harriet and Lynn moved to Discovery Bay, California, where they embraced the yachting community and formed lasting friendships. This chapter brought Harriet great joy and fond memories. In her later years, she returned to Colorado to be closer to family.

Harriet was preceded in death by her parents; and two sisters, Mickey and Barbara. She is survived by her husband Lynn; children Janet, Laurie, and Scott; sisters Peggy, Patty, and Donna; 10 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

A celebration of Harriet’s life will be announced later to allow family and friends from near and far to gather in remembrance of this remarkable woman who touched so many lives. May her memory bring comfort to those who knew her.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Harriet’s name to Kids Wish Network.
