James Kyle Crawford, age 73, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 5, 2021 in Aurora, Colorado. He was born January 2, 1948 in Gatesville, Texas to Tommie Crawford and Twila Mae Sawyer. Jim grew up in the Myron Stratton Home in Colorado Springs and lived as an adult in the Denver/Aurora metro area.
Jim was a dependable helper to neighbors, a dedicated employee, a loyal friend and loving family member. He worked for Nestle Purina for 42 years and enjoyed golf, fishing, camping, researching genealogy, writing poetry and reading Louis L’Amour westerns. His dry sense of humor sometimes had to be interpreted to those who might not know he was “just kidding…!” He drank coffee all day long and loved to visit with neighbors. He valued his relationships with family and friends so much. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him and appreciated his gentle, caring, and helpful nature.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother Donnie. He is survived by his wife, Irene; his brothers, Lloyd and Garland; his children, Mike and Becki; his granddaughters, Leah and Tiffany; and numerous step-siblings, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Jim’s family will be holding a Memorial Service:
