Jane (Wiltshire) Miller, age 88, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 23, 2024, at Highline Place, a memory care facility, in Littleton, CO. She was born April 24, 1935, in Chichister, West Sussex, England to Charles and Gwendoline (Harris) Wiltshire. She grew up in England during WWII which shaped her life in many ways. She married Maurice Miller, a British naval officer, on April 16, 1955 in Bournemouth, England. Together with their newborn son Stuart born in 1956, Jane and Maurice left Great Britain for New York, NY in 1957 aboard the Queen Mary.
Jane and family initially settled in Staten Island, NY where her son Michael was born in 1959. They moved to St. Louis where her son Mark was born in 1961. Jane supported her husband as his career in the travel industry progressed which resulted in many moves throughout her life. Jane was a dedicated mother and a homemaker. She supported her kids in scouts, swim team, baseball, basketball and other interests. Jane was an extraordinary gardener, gourmet cook, remarkable seamstress and loved needlepoint. She enjoyed traveling the world with her husband and family, and later, traveled within the U.S. with their trailer and beloved dogs.
Jane was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Gwendoline; her husband, Maurice in 2020; her son, Michael in 1978. She is survived by her siblings, Anne, Wendy and Roger; her sons Stuart and Mark; her grandsons Andrew, Matthew and Carson; her four great-grandchildren. Being the dog lover that she was, in lieu of flowers, please send contributions to the Denver Dumb Friends League or your local animal shelter.
A Celebration of Life Service for the family will be held at Heflebower Funeral Services on April 6, 2024 at 10am.
