Jean Marie Panza (nee Ponzini) died November 11, 2023.
Born in Newark, NJ on August 30, 1947, she is survived by Joe, her loving husband of 55 years, her four children: Joseph, Stacie, Christopher and Amy, four grandsons: Austin, Luke, Anthony, and Holden, son-in-law Andrew, daughter-in-law Terese, and partners Sephora and Angela. Jean was, for sixteen years, a survivor of heart transplantation, establishing a lifelong allegiance with her donor Drew’s family: Paula, Jared and Hayley.
She became an advocate for organ donation, was a faithful wife, devoted mother, and doting grandmother as well as an unceasing friend to hundreds of people. Her ability to spread love and cheer was her hallmark. She relished her time as a “church lady” meeting and greeting people from all walks of life and from around the globe. She excelled in her kitchen, was fond of good food and wine, enjoyed lifelong friendships, and family gatherings, as well as penny and nickel slots at casinos wherever she lived. She was passionate about living fully and determined to live effusively despite major illnesses, remaining undaunted, without complaint, enjoying life as it came. Her wit and charm were the stuff of legend.
Service arrangements are these: Mass at Pax Christi Church, 10675 Jaguar Dr, Lone Tree, CO , May 10 at 11 AM. For those attending the Mass, a luncheon reception with follow immediately in the Great Hall.
