Lillian (Jean) Durham, age ninety-six, of Littleton, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Sunday, September 19, 2021. Jean was born in Grandville, Oklahoma to Will and Anna (Pearl) Richardson on April 26, 1925 during a tornado. She married F.A. (Bull) Durham on October 19, 1946 and they were married for 49 years.
Jean retired from American Express in 1982 as a Credit Analysis Manager but continued to work supporting Bull’s construction company. Jean and Bull were both very involved in their church and developed many friendships along the way. During her spare time, Jean enjoyed crafting and loved playing cards (Skip-bo or Five Crowns) with anyone who was willing to get beat. She stayed very active until her early 90’s by walking every day or going to her local Curves to workout.
She is preceded in death by her husband, F.A. “Bull” Durham, her parents and her brothers.
Jean is survived by her children Debbie (Rich) Fowler, Jerre (Mike) Gardiner and Eric Durham (Carey Miller), her grandchildren, Chris (Kristin) Chapman and Brad (Michelle) Chapman, Katie Fowler (Derek Majetic) and Matt Fowler (Iyesha Sayeed) and her beloved great grandchildren Ella and Ryan Chapman, Wyatt and Ashlynn Chapman, and Amera Fowler.
Her strong faith in God, her passion for life and her warmth and kindness will be missed by all who were fortunate enough to have known her.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday, October 6 at Ft. Logan National Cemetery at 11:00 am (meet at Lot A at 10:45 am). A reception will follow the service.
