Linda Louise Jones

 Linda Jones of Broomfield, Colorado passed away on December 1, 2023 from complications with pneumonia. Linda was 74.

Linda was born in Reading, Pennsylvania, the third child of William Herzog Sr. and Martha Herzog. The family lived in Pennsylvania until the early 60’s, when they moved to Aurora, Colorado.

A graduate of Aurora Hinkley High School, Linda lived the balance of her life in Aurora, until health issues required her to move to skilled nursing care.

Linda had two children, Lonny Herzog of Colorado Springs and Wendy Jones of Aurora, Colorado. She had 7 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren; Linda’s family was everything to her.

Linda worked for many years in the janitorial services industry. She took great pride in her work. Over the years she worked at The Denver Post/Rocky Mountain News and the Aurora movie theaters. The latter part of her career she started her own house cleaning business. Her clients adored her and treated her like a family member.

Linda loved crafting, making angels and Christmas decorations and she loved baking. You could count on her to make her brothers’ cream pies for their birthdays and Christmas, nearly every year, using the trusted family recipe of course. Her love of family coming through once again.

Linda is survived by sister Sandra Burke of Woodinville, WA (Ed), children Lonny and Wendy, 7 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. In addition, numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Linda is preceded in death by her father William Herzog Sr., mother Martha Herzog and brothers William Herzog Jr. and Terry Herzog.

Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, February 2, 2024, at 10 AM at Calvary Baptist Church of Denver, located at 6500 E. Girard Ave., Denver, CO 80224.
