Linda Lou McDowell, age 77, passed away surrounded by her family on Thursday, April 28, 2022, in Lone Tree, Colorado. She was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana on October 27, 1944, to Walter and Dorothy Schaefer. Linda was a graduate of Elmhurst High School. She found love and was previously married to Ron Pequignot and Jim McDowell. Linda worked for many years for General Electric in Fort Wayne. She also worked for the United States Postal Service in Florida and Denver, Colorado which is where she retired from.
Linda was mostly passionate about her family. She was especially fond of spoiling her 4 grandchildren, grandnieces and grandnephews. She also loved Florida and going to the beach where she was always searching for wildlife, the perfect shell, or multiple shark’s teeth. She will be remembered as a great friend who was always eager to make someone laugh or help in any way.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Dorothy; her sister, Sondra Eget; and her brother Doug Schaefer. She is survived by her daughter, Lisa Clark (Bill) and 4 grandchildren: Jenna Clark, Christian Clark, Matthew Clark, and Tarah Clark; her brother Dave Schaefer; sister Rebecca Darga; brother Jeff Turner; and many cousins, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews and last, but not least, her faithful cat, Kiki.
