Lisa Marie Weiss

On July 5th, 2024, Lisa Marie Kesner Weiss, loving wife and mom, passed at the age of 51.

Lisa was born on November 26,1972 to Bob and Faye Kesner in Xenia, Ohio. Lisa was a graduate of the University of the Cumberlands and received her Masters Degree from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville in Industrial Organizational Psychology.

After graduating she started her first job at Grant Thornton in New York city in the field of Human Resources Management and Compensation. Over the years she would go on to work at several other organizations, the final one being at Veritas were she served as the Global Compensation Director and HR Business Partner. She was known wherever she worked for not only her technical skills, but also for her incredible communication and relationship skills.

In the wee morning hours of January 6th, 1997, Lisa met her future husband, Dan, in an AOL chat room. Despite completely different interests their initial conversation sparked the beginnings of a 27 year relationship. Lisa and Dan went on to have one child, Emma, who was the greatest joy in her life.

Lisa didn’t have specific hobbies but her joy came in making friends everywhere she went, going to the movies, finding great restaurants, enjoying a good cocktail or glass of wine, and spending time with Emma, Dan, and their dogs.

Lisa was predeceased by Bob and Faye Kesner. She is survived by Dan and Emma, and her sister, Christina Kight-McVay.

A celebration of life will be held at a later time and date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to The National Pancreatic Cancer Foundation (NPCF).
