Marjorie “Marge” Dean Rhomberg, age 93, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 14, 2023; at home in Parker, CO while surrounded by many family members. She was born April 4, 1929, in Sedalia, MO; to Arthur and Myrtle (Bishop) Herrick. When Marge was in elementary school she moved with her family from Sedalia, MO to Denver, CO and graduated from Englewood High School in 1947. She married Douglas Witt Rhomberg on March 17, 1959 in Denver. Marge worked for many years as the receptionist at Calvary Temple in Denver before her marriage and developed lifelong friendships with many church members. After taking some time to raise her children, she joined her husband to manage the office of a startup automotive repair shop. Together, they grew that business such that it would successfully sustain their family for many years.
Her life passion was her family. She took time to make each person feel special and loved. She was a woman of faith that shared and showed the love of Jesus with all.
Marge was preceded in death by her husband, Doug; a daughter, Robyn Gay; her parents, Arthur and Myrtle; her brothers, Jack, Bill, Leroy, Dwight; her sister, Martha. She is survived by her children, Lori (Dale) Zwart of Littleton, CO; Kristi (Garry) Hager of Parker, CO; and Douglas (Michelle) Rhomberg of Highlands Ranch, CO; as well as 8 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Marge’s family will be holding a Celebration of Life Service at Cherry Hills Community Church, 3900 Grace Blvd, Highlands Ranch, CO 80126 followed by a reception on Monday, February 27th from 12-4pm in the chapel. Please join us and share in the laughs, memories especially her unforgettable laugh, and reminiscing. We know this is what Marge would want.
