Mark Ellsworth, age 63, passed away on Sunday, December 19, 2021 at Medical Center of Aurora in Aurora CO. He was born November 20, 1958, in Colorado Springs, CO to Arthur and Loretta May (Johnson) Ellsworth. Mark is 4th of 8 siblings. Growing up in Littleton CO, Mark attended Highland Elementary, Euclid Middle School, and graduated from Heritage High School in 1977. In June of 1977 Mark Joined the Navy. Seamanship Specialist on U.S.S. Kitty Hawk. Going out on deployment Mark became ill on ship. While docked in Hawaii, Mark was diagnosed with cancer. He was discharged May 16, 1978 and came back to Colorado to continue treatments. Mark worked as a Security Guard at the Denver Post for several years. On July 18,1987 Mark and Lula (Keithline) were married in Littleton, CO.
Mark loved the outdoors, fishing, sight-seeing and camping. Many years enjoyed Memorial Day and Labor Day weekends camping with the family. Mark volunteered help as he could at family’s upholstery shop. Family meant a lot to Mark and loved all his nieces and nephews so much, and they loved playing with him. Lula was a member of Order of Amaranth when they were married as was her brother Clinton. Seeing Clinton and Lula doing Masonic work, he decided to Join South Denver Lodge #93 in 1997 and is a 32 Degree Mason. He joined The Order of Amaranth Oct. 1998. In 2003 he Joined Coronal Ascalon #31 Denver Council #1, and Triad Chapter # 42. Mark is a Member of Denver Consistory and Knights of Saint Andrew. He truly enjoyed the Masonic work and friendships he made there. Mark volunteered at many 9 Health Fairs held at Denver Consistory, and Garage sales held at So. Denver Lodge, and walks for Amaranth Diabetes, to name a few.
Mark was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Loretta, his sisters Janet Ellsworth and Cheryl Bain. He is survived by his wife Lula; his siblings, Darlene Dale (Gary), Linda Cetnar, Ed Acree (Dana), Andy Ellsworth, Pandora Wallace (Bill), as well as numerous nieces, nephews.
