It is with great sadness that the family of Mary Rose Martinez announces her
passing after a brief illness, on Friday, April 20, 2018, at the age of 72 years.
Mary Rose will be lovingly remembered by her fiancée, Bill Cardenas, and her
children, Larry and Adrian. Mary Rose will also be fondly remembered by her
three grandchildren, Bradley, Kayla and Mitchell. Mary was predeceased by
her late husband, Noberto Claudio Martinez and her brother Lloyd Esquibel.
Mary Rose lived a full life growing up in a loving home with her late parents
Kelly and Beatrice Sanchez. Mary grew up surrounded by loving family in
Rocky Ford, Colorado. Several years after Mary and Claudio were married,
they moved with their son Larry to Colorado Springs, where she lived most of
her life. Several years after moving to Colorado Springs, Mary and Claudio
welcomed their second son Adrian. Mary Rose spread joy and hope to her
family and friends. She enjoyed her work as a medical assistant for the El
Paso County Health Department where she retired after 20 years of service.
After retirement Mary Rose spent the last ten years volunteering and serving
member of the Fountain Valley Senior Center. For her last 5 years Mary
Rose lived in Denver and enjoyed time with sons, her grandchildren and her
fiancée.
A Funeral Service, in memory of Mary Rose Martinez, will be held on
Saturday, April 28, 2014 at 9:00 a.m., at the St. Dominic’s Catholic Church, at
5354 US-85, Security, CO 80911. Following the funeral service family and
friends are invited to join her sons and grandchildren for a brunch and
remembrance at the Fountain Valley Senior Center located at 5745
Southmoor Dr, Fountain, CO 80817
Interment will be a later date at the City Cemetery in Rocky Ford, Colorado.
