Michael was born in Denver Health Hospital. He was a loving father to Elliyana, Rose Malmgren (7) and is a survived by his parents (Michael L. Malmgren and Roseann Malmgren), brother, Frank, and sister Christina. Mikey has always been surrounded by many great friends. Many of his friends became a part of the Malmgren family, especially Brittany. If one was a friend of Mikey, they were a friend for life. His home was always filled with much laughter and lots of fun with so many young people in it.
Michael had a big heart a great love for people, and he lit up any room he walked into. His biggest joy was his daughter, Elliyana, and she is definitely his “mini-me.”
Elliyana was the light of Michael’s life. He regularly worked long hours but always made time to spend with her, creating happy memories. Education was important to Michael and as soon as he came home from work, he sat with her to assist her with homework. He made sure to be present for things like parent teacher conferences, school events, doctor appointments and gymnastics. They enjoyed cuddling together, watching movies with a big bowl of popcorn.
Michael loved his job at C&S Toolworks creating huge barndoors and mantles. He loved working with Dan and his bosses Chris and Steve. He wanted to become a master craftsman, and his dream was to one day own his own business, and he was on the road to achieving that goal. We like to think of Mikey helping God build the most glorious mansions He promised us all.
He enjoyed, skateboarding, baseball, football, basketball, and spending time at the shooting range with this dad and friends. His favorite foods were pizza, burgers, pizza, steak, barbeque, elbow macaroni with butter, taco. Red was his favorite color.
Michael was a gift given to us by God for a short time, and we hope you will be able to join us for his Celebration of Life on November 9, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. at:
