Michael E. Summerville, 40, passed away on October 29, 2024.
Rachel, La Michael, and Teagan, know that you were the apple of your dad’s beautiful eyes. The amount of love, admiration, and joy that filled his heart is indescribable. You made him proud, and he was blessed by God to be your dad. Please know that he loved his babies (as he always called you “his babies”).
Rachael:
Your dad loved you and would frequently share how much he wanted you to be great and do amazing things. He was so proud of you. He would always say how each of you were like him. He would brag about your art and musical skills. He was so proud of you being in JROTC. He would constantly show off pictures of you in your uniform. He was so excited about giving you the birthday gift that night. His smile would light up the room when he spoke about you. He constantly bragged about how smart you were and how you got that from him. He was also worried because he saw you blossoming into a beautiful young woman. He said, “I’m so stressed, you see Rachel. She looks like a woman!” You were his world, tuck that away in your heart.
LaMichael:
His only son and namesake, you made him proud. He was so proud of you joining the soccer team! He went everywhere looking and making sure that you had your jerseys. He would excitedly say, “LaMichael is joining a soccer team, so we have to get him a jersey!” He bragged about how you were “the leader”. The leader at home, school, and your soccer team. A born leader and he saw those qualities in you. He knew you were going to guide, protect, and teach your sister. He believed in you, always remember that.
Teagan:
He always said you were his bold daughter, bold and confident. He would often say, “Teagan will go up and talk to anybody!” He would state that you are going to be a star and be on stage. He felt that you had within you all that you need to succeed and that you can do anything that you put your mind to doing. I must remind you to please work on your reading 😊. Your dad was adamant about that. Be unapologetically you, Teagan. Your dad would expect nothing less.
Who was your dad: He was a fierce protector, lover, husband, dad, son, brother, and man. He loved hard and gave so much! He would do anything for people and gave his last. Your dad was a special man, and he was born that way. He was God’s example of love walking among us. No matter what…he is, was, and will forever be LOVE!!!
