In Loving Memory of Noah
Noah Maier, age 23, passed away peacefully in the early hours of Monday, November 11, 2024, at Swedish Medical Center in Englewood. Noah was on track to beat all odds once again but after a heroic 3-month struggle finally succumbed to his injuries, leaving us far too soon.
Born on September 25, 2001, in Lake Forest, IL, he spent his early years in Green Oaks, IL, before moving to Colorado with his family in 2005. He graduated from Heritage High School in 2020 where he loved being in marching band. He also took college courses at Arapahoe Community College (ACC), where he focused on Computer-Aided Design (CAD).
Noah was a lover of life and people. He deeply enjoyed his job and his coworkers at Chick-fil-A (and later at Bowlero). A tragic bicycle accident on his way to work in 2018 resulted in a traumatic brain injury bringing changes to his personality. Although he occasionally struggled with depression as a result, he continued to bring joy and kindness to those around him.
Noah will be remembered for his big smile, full throated laugh, generous personality, helpful and sensitive nature, and his deep desire to be with friends and family.
He was happiest when bowling with friends, working on Nerf projects, playing games with his mom, sharing a meal at the kitchen table, hanging with friends at the diner, going on adventures with family and friends, or just cuddling with the family dog, Sophie. Noah, affectionately known as 'Tiger,' loved working with his hands, had a natural talent for CAD, and could crunch numbers in his head that made his father blush.
Noah is survived by his loving parents, Thomas and Dee; his big sister, Alyssa; many cousins, uncles, aunts, grandparents and friends in both the United States and Germany.
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, November 22, 2024 at 11am at Mountainview Church, 40 East Highlands Ranch Parkway, Highlands Ranch, CO 80126. Reception to follow at same location. Noah would've appreciated family and friends wearing casual attire.
For guests unable to attend in person, Noah's service will be live-streamed: Noah Maier Live-Stream
Flowers may be sent directly to the church for his service. Floral links are below.
