Norah Capri, 60, passed away peacefully on February 8, 2021. She was at her home in Highlands Ranch surrounded by loved ones.
Norah was born in Bolivia to Dorita and Roberto on December 14, 1960. As a child she moved with her family to Colorado where she quickly learned English and excelled in school and sports.
Norah established her career in the Cosmetology Industry as a hairstylist and makeup artist for over 35 years. She was an entrepreneur, starting her own vegan cosmetic line, while also creating jewelry, hair products, and accessories. She enjoyed running, mountain climbing, and was always gardening. Norah loved music and never missed an opportunity to dance. Often, she could be found in antique stores and consignment shops finding little treasures.
She mastered her gift as a colorist and created beautiful paintings and art. In her free time she enjoyed sewing, knitting, or crocheting whatever you may need. She also enjoyed cooking, baking and creating new vegetarian and vegan dishes.
Norah is a published poet and avid writer. She put love into everything she touched, and always had everyone laughing.
In her final years she educated herself in all aspects of mental health, becoming certified as a Master NLP practitioner. Her focus was on helping women suffering from trauma and PTSD or CPTSD. She spoke often of her final wishes being that friends and loved one’s would prioritize their mental health and well-being.
Norah believed that if a moment to be compassionate presented itself, you should act on it. Bring joy and love to others, especially those suffering.
Norah is preceded in death by her mother Dorita, and several close friends. She is survived by her daughter Christie, grandchildren Zander and Stellie; her brother Hans, his wife Cheryl, their son Jeremy; and her father Robert and his wife Mercy. She leaves behind many wonderful friends and loved ones.
