Orlie Del Toro Sr., a longtime resident of Denver, Colorado, passed away unexpectedly on February 24, 2019. He entered the gates of heaven at the age of 76 years old. Services will be held at 10:30am Friday, March 15, 2019 at Light of the World Roman Catholic Church, 10316 W. Bowles Ave, Littleton, CO 80127. Arrangements are being handled by Heflebower Funeral & Cremation Services.
Orlie Del Toro Sr. was born in Denver, Colorado on June 26,1942. He was married to Shirley Gonzales on November 27,1959; they were married 59 years.
Orlie Sr. worked as a Teamsters Union local truck driver for Northwest Transport Services for 36 years. He was a very talented man, self-taught musician and tradesman. He enjoyed playing his guitar from the heart as a member of his brother’s band, "Del Toro & the Rockers.” They were a very popular band throughout the 1950’s. Orlie Sr. was also a member of several popular local bands performing Rock & Roll, Blues, Motown, R&B and Latin music.
Orlie Del Toro Sr. is survived by wife Shirley; his children Orlie Jr., Eric, Orlinda and Nancy; his eight grandchildren Erica, Jessica, Shana, Orlie, Steven, Vanessa, Ashleigh and Aleeza; also survived by daughter in laws Kimberly, Debra and son in laws Larry and Frank, sister Pauline Duran and other family & friends.
Also left to cherish his memory are his ten great grandchildren: Erin, Sharlize, Gracie, Hayleigh, Armani, Steven, Raymond, Kingston, Jayda and Jayne.
He is preceded in death by daughter and guardian angel Lisa Del Toro, grandson Angelo, his parents Virgil Sr. and Tomasita Del Toro, brothers Virgil Jr. and Art Del Toro.

Celebration of life for Orlie Sr. Del Toro will be held March 15, 2019 at St. Cajetan’s Catholic Church, 299 S. Stuart St. Denver, CO 80219 from 1pm to 4pm. Please join the family in remembrance of this wonderful man.
