Percy Pugh, Sr, 86 of Aurora, passed away at his home on Wednesday, December 23, 2015.
He was born on December 2, 1929 in Laurel, Mississippi to Albert & Leona (Spells) Pugh.
Percy moved to Denver in November of 1954, where he resided until his death.
He worked as a shoemaker for Dardano's shoe repair until his retirement.
Percy was a very popular man and was well known in the Five Points area as well as the Lincoln Social Club. His favorite hobbies were fishing, playing dominoes and the casino.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 46 years, Hazel Brown, his children; Carolyn Rice, Sandra Darden, Willie Pugh, Michael (Nora) Pugh, Reggie Johnson, Tyron Johnson, Symone Johnson, Daren Brown, Janette Brown and Cathy Brown(Sherman). Sisters: Emma Gordon (QC), Lucille Willis, Fannie Mae Judie (Dale), Catherine Mosley(Robert Lee) and Dorothy McGee(Billy).
Grandchildren: Junae Brown, Shutae Brown, Gabriel Christie, Derris Brown, Darkia Brown, Shanae Brown, Sherman Brown, Sherman Brown, II (Boot), Joseph Banks, Jr., Derrek Devan, Jr., Praysia Bond, Janiah Brown, Donne McMillon,, hosts of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, younger brother Albert, Jr. and his oldest son Percy Pugh, Jr.
