Ralph George Malewska

Ralph George Malewska of Littleton Colorado passed away on November 28, 2023, at AdventHealth Littleton Hospital. He was born June 4, 1937 in Dearborn Michigan to George Alfred and Vivian Rawson Malewska. He attended Wayne State University and worked for several major automobile companies in their engineering department and later worked in design and engineering for Massey Ferguson where he became national marketing director. After moving to Colorado he sold and leased heavy equipment at Park Western Leasing.

In his early years, Ralph was an avid sailor and built his own sailboat in a friend’s garage and frequently raced as crew with friends. He served as 1st Lieutenant in the Michigan National Guard from 1959 to 1965. A member of the Rocky Mountain Triumph Club, restoring a 1964 Triumph with his son Eric was a dream come true.

Ralph was married to Barbara Seeley; they divorced but remained good friends throughout his life. On February 2, 2006 he married Sondra Cotner Cook in Golden, Colorado.

Survivors include his wife Sondra, former wife Barbara Malewska (Ken Murphy) Westminster CO, sons Eric Malewska, Denver CO, and Darin (Chriss Helms) of Dallas Texas, stepchildren Jennifer (Bob) Murray), Newmarket NH, Stacy (Jeremy) Bott, Franktown CO, and Chris (Kristen) Cook, Amesbury MA.

Also surviving are his brother Dale (Carol) Malewska, Ovid MI, and grandchildren Elizabeth (Jacob) Schott, Wheat Ridge CO, Dylan (Jamie) Malewska, Englewood CO, Ashton (Briana Santizo) Bott, Haslet TX, Kaylie Bott, Franktown CO, and Dylan and Max Cook of Amesbury MA, along with several cousins, nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents, sister Cathy Wegrzn and brother Gerald Malewska. Ralph loved life and loved to make jokes and he fiercely loved his people.

Graveside services will be held December 12, 2023, at 12:30 PM at Littleton Cemetery followed by a reception at Heflebower Funeral Home in Highlands Ranch. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to Toys for Tots, Denver Rescue Mission or Food Bank of the Rockies.
