Richard “Dick” Edward Quinn, of Highlands Ranch, CO, passed away at the age of 56
from cancer on July 3, 2015.
Dick is survived by his wife of 33 years Betsy, their two daughters Katelyn Knop
(Max Knop) and Allison Quinn, father James Edward Quinn and step mother Ginger
Quinn, sister Catherine Greco (Robert Greco), grandson Cody James Knop. Dick was
preceded in death by his mother Jeanne Happenny Quinn and sister Jeanie Quinn.
Dick was born in Syracuse, N.Y. on January 9, 1959 and grew up in Rehoboth, MA.
He graduated from Clemson University in 1981 with a degree in Construction
Management in the School of Architecture. After living in Severna Park, MD for 11
years, he moved to Colorado with his family in 1992. He was President of The
Landmark Group, LLC, a commercial development consulting company he began
approximately 16 years ago. Recent work included projects with the Denver Art
Museum, West Metro Fire Protection District and Rocky Mountain Fire Department.
Dick had many interests including running, cycling, skiing, racquetball, squash and
triathlons, including Lake Tahoe Ironman. He also enjoyed building model ships in
his spare time. He always had a smile on his face, had a great sense of humor and
enjoyed being around family and friends.
A memorial service is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. on Monday, July 20th at the Cherry Hills
Community Church Chapel. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Denver Hospice
