Robert John Cusick, Jr. (Bob), a resident of Windcrest in Highlands Ranch, Colorado, passed away at UC Health Highlands Ranch Hospital on Sunday, April 19, 2020, at the age of 86, after losing his battle with the COVID-19 virus.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Joan Cusick, his parents Robert and Mary Cusick, and his brother Daniel, John, Joseph and Michael Cusick. Bob is survived by his four sons: Stephen Cusick, wife Karen, Robert Cusick, wife Donna, William Cusick, wife Lisa and Timothy Cusick, wife Deirdre. He is the proud grandfather of Ryan, Megan and Timmy Cusick, Bobby Cusick, wife Kyla, Jessica Johns, husband Jason, Kristin Gunther, husband Cody, Kaitlyn, Emily and Brian Cusick, Rachel and Grant Neville, Aidan and Emma Cusick. He was the great grandfather of Jason (12), Spencer (4), Theron (3), Jackson (2), Carson (23 Months), Wyatt (9 months) and Brooklyn (2 weeks). Bob will lovingly be remembered as PA. Bob is also survived by his sister Pat Kelly, brother Donald Cusick, sister-in-law Pat and his sister Madeline Sturges and brother-in-law Mike. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Bob was born in Brooklyn, New York. He served in the U.S. Coast Guard. He was a retired New York Police Officer as well as a retired U.S. Postal worker. He loved spending time with family and friends. He enjoyed going to dinner, shows and sporting events. His love of life will be missed by all who knew him.
In consideration of the current COVID-19 pandemic, memorial and burial services to celebrate his life will be made at a later date. His ashes will be buried at Fort Logan National Cemetery.
