Sean Aaron Kelbert

July 31, 1981 — April 25, 2022

Sean Aaron Kelbert, beloved husband, father, son, grandson, son in law and friend, passed away on April 25, 2022 in the loving presence of his immediate family. He was 40 years old.

Sean was born in Long Beach, CA on July 31, 1981 to Raymond and Janis Kelbert. He attended Calvary Chapel Downey High School and went on to complete a Bachelor of Business in Marketing at Cal State University Long Beach.

While attending college, at a dear friend’s Christmas party, he met the love of his life, Gina. Sean would describe being immediately drawn to Gina from the moment he saw her from across the room…and the rest is history. Sean and Gina were married on September 13, 2008 in Huntington Beach, CA. They moved to Texas in 2010 and were blessed with their two beautiful daughters during their time there. Shelby Reese was born on September 1, 2011, and Lana Anne was born on January 8, 2014. In 2016, Sean and Gina moved to Colorado to allow their daughters an opportunity to live near mountains and experience growing up in the snow.

Sean lit up any room he entered. He loved his wife and daughters more than anything. He always said they were the best thing he ever did in his life. He found pure joy in the sport of football and was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan. His favorite player was Emmitt Smith. Sean’s other love was snow. He would know exactly what date and time it was to begin, and he savored every bit of if, hoping for feet of it to fall. He loved any activity that involved snow, and he would take any chance he had to play, sled, and build snowmen with his daughters. Sean worked in the financial field his whole career, and in the last year had found his work home at Annuity Agents Alliance. Sean loved helping people save for the future, but even more, he loved the conversations and the partners/clients he was working with. He loved bringing joy to others through all different ways of fellowship.

Sean is preceded in death by his mom, Janis Kelbert. He is survived by his wife Gina Kelbert; his daughters, Shelby (10) and Lana (8); his father, Ray Kelbert; his brother, Eric (wife Samantha) Kelbert; his grandmother Nadine (husband Bob) Jennings; his grandfather, Don Kelbert; his mother and father-in-law, Jim and Kathy Ezemoli; his uncle, Jerry (wife Debbie) White and their sons; and countless other dear family and friends.

Sean’s celebration of life will be on Wednesday, May 4, 2022 at 11am at the Dixon Chapel at Cherry Hills Community Church in Highlands Ranch. A private family burial will follow.
