Taianna Irene Huttunen

Taianna Irene Huttunen was born on March 11, 1977, in Brush, Colorado to David Wayne Huttunen and Sharon Raedean Bell. She passed away on July 20, 2024, at the age of 47 in Denver, Colorado. 

Tai, as she was known to family and friends, grew up in South Littleton/Douglas County. She attended Plum Creek Elementary School, Castle Rock Junior High, and Douglas County High School. After High School, Tai worked in various restaurants and night clubs before becoming a loan processor in the mortgage industry where she worked for most of her life. More recently she worked as a receptionist in a chiropractor's office. 

Tai was very artistic, excelling in her favorite art classes in school. She was a “foodie” and loved to cook and try new recipes. Tai valued her friends and family and was happy to provide her culinary goodies at family gatherings and parties. She cherished her workplace relationships and friendships. She enjoyed the comradery and shenanigans and was delighted to share those memories with others. Tai made many friends and acquaintances over the years and had a knack for bringing people together. Family vacations to the Oregon Coast as a child fostered her love for travel. She especially loved warm climates and beaches. She was also very proud of her two trips to Russia, which provided more wonderful memories that she loved to talk about. Most recently she returned to the beaches with a friend, visiting Columbia and Belize, where she soaked up the sunshine and relished the fresh produce and seafood. Tai made friends wherever she traveled and continued to maintain those friendships long after she returned home. 

Taianna is survived by her son, Gemini Littau, Parker, CO, her mother, Sharon Huttunen, Paonia, CO, two sisters, Katrina Rasmussen (Clint), Littleton, CO and Irenka Hammell (Eric), Denver, CO, two brothers, David Huttunen, Michigan, and Darrow Huttunen, Aurora, CO and longtime close friends and traveling companions, Ivan Zhuk, Denver, CO and Brandon Petry, Marquette, MI. Also, several uncles and aunts and numerous cousins and dear friends. 

She is preceded in death by her father, David Huttunen, her grandparents, Wayno and Margaret Huttunen and Steven and Barbara Bell and two uncles, Stanley and Silvan Bell.
