Theresa Joan Welborn

Theresa Welborn, age 76, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 31, 2021, at Home surrounded by Family. She was born September 13, 1945, in Bastrop Texas, to Alphonse and Frances Pappacoda. Theresa was a 1963 graduate of Branford High School and she worked as a telephone operator in Dallas Texas where she and her husband of 54 years first met. Theresa and Doug married on April 22, 1967 in Branford Connecticut.

Devoted to her marriage and her family, Theresa worked tirelessly to make a Home full of love, stability and trust. She enjoyed attending Church at St. Mary’s and participated in the Church Choir. Theresa was rooted in her faith and strived always to lead by example. A selfless caregiver, the needs of others was always met before meeting her own. Theresa enjoyed family vacations and delighted in watching her family flourish. Words can’t adequately express how much this wonderful woman will be missed.

Theresa was preceded in death by her parents, Alphonse and Frances. She is survived by her husband, Doug; her brother, Joe; her sister, Francine; her daughters, Tracy and Anna; her Son, Del; her grandchildren, Emily, Nick, Evelen and Trevor. Theresa’s family will be holding a Viewing Service at Heflebower Funeral Services on January 5th from 3-7 PM. They will also hold a Funeral Mass at St. Thomas More Catholic Church on January 6th at 2:30 PM.
